Monash University Medical Society (MUMUS) Teddy Bear Hospital is a non-for-profit club run by Monash University student volunteers within the Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences/Allied Health faculties, with the mission of alleviating the “white coat anxiety” children often feel when visiting health professionals.

The Teddy Bear Hospital will be visiting CFPS on Tuesday 10th August for all Prep students. The event is designed to provide children with a unique and interactive way to experience the atmosphere at a hospital or general practice without being patients themselves. Prep students will bring their own teddy bears (patients), and volunteers will act as their doctors. The children will rotate through a number of role-play scenarios, simulating experiences such as calling an ambulance, visiting a GP and learning about asthma devices. Good hygiene, healthy eating habits and physical activity are also encouraged.

Tuesday 23rd & Wednesday 24th August 2022
Each class will be envolved in one 2-hour session split across the two days.
The sessions will run from 9:00am – 11:00am and 11:45am – 1:45pm.
Specifics about which classes will attend each time will be confirmed closer to the date.

Please see Compass for further details.
