School Saving Bonus

 

The School Saving Bonus is a one-off $400 support for government school students from Prep to Year 12 in 2025. This support will help cover the cost of school uniforms and school activities like camps, excursions and sports.

The School Saving Bonus is in addition to existing and continuing means-tested supports for Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund (CSEF) and the Affordable School Uniforms Program.

You should have received an email from the department containing your code and login details. If you have not received this information yet, please contact them directly to request it.

Accessing/Allocating the $400 School Saving Bonus

You can decide how to best use the School Saving Bonus for your family’s needs. You can choose how to allocate the $400 in the online system. Once you have logged into the online system you can then allocate your desired amount to either school uniform or school activities. 

School Uniform:

If you have not already allocated an amount to uniform, please follow the steps:

  1. Log onto the School Saving Bonus Portal
  2. Allocate desired amount to uniforms
  3. Make sure you choose “Noone” 
  4. A voucher will be sent to your email. Take this to Noone when they open and they will process accordingly

If you have already allocated an amount to uniform and have chosen PSW, please follow these steps:

  1. If you have allocated the uniform to PSW, you will need to fill out a paper form to use at Noone. The form is attached to this Compass Post and physical copies are available in the front office.
  2. When you fill this form in, make sure you write your students full name and allocated amount. Make sure the allocated amount matched with what you have entered on the School Saving Bonus Portal.
  3. Take this paper form to Noone when they open, and Noone will process accordingly.


School activities:
(camps, trips, excursions and incursions)

  1. Once you are logged into the online system, please navigate to the school activities section and choose the amount you would like to allocate. This will be transferred in a few days for you to use on events and excursions.
  2. You can then use your SSB allocation to pay for excursions and events on compass by selecting to pay via CSEF/Credit in the payment section of the event. We will then be able to see your selected payment method and allocate your funds accordingly.

Please be aware that there is currently a delay between the SSB portal and our school systems, which the Department is working to resolve. If you do not see the CSEF/credit payment option after a few days, please email the school with the details of the event for which you would like to use this payment method, and we will ensure it is allocated accordingly.
